The latest announcement by the Daniel Andrews Victorian Government of the Victorian Solar Rebate gives non-solar homeowners the amazing opportunity and huge financial incentive to invest in solar technology for the household. This rebate is also open to solar homeowners whom have already invested in solar technology, here’s how you can still take advantage of the Victorian Solar Rebate with an existing solar PV system.

If you currently have a solar system, you may be eligible to expand your system if your system meets the early adoption criteria.

Early adopters of rooftop solar

An early adopter of solar doesn’t necessarily mean that you have installed the very first solar technology available in Australia. Early adopters refer to homeowners whom installed solar before the commencement of the Premium Feed-in Tariff (1 November 2009). If you meet this criteria, you have the opportunity to expand your solar system and in-turn, generate more solar energy for your household to use. * If you are unsure of when you first installed your solar system, your Distribution Network Service Provider will be able to confirm the date that your solar system was successfully connected to the grid.
